Magnolios

Two design villas in the Antioquian hills, built for silence, the forest, and the long light.

place

Set in the forested hills of eastern Antioquia, half an hour from the airport, yet a world from the everyday, Magnolios is a pair of contemporary villas, Kobus and Ashei, built to disappear into the mountains around them.

The architecture is quiet and considered: clean minimalist lines, warm timber, and glass held open to the forest. Each villa keeps its own jacuzzi and Turkish bath, a gourmet kitchen, and a terrace strung with a catamaran net where the afternoon goes soft. Outside, an open fire keeps the evenings long after the light has gone.

This is a corner of Colombia made for stillness, birdsong, forest, and the slow arrival of dusk. When the world calls you back, the potters of El Carmen de Viboral, the waterfalls of El Retiro, and the tables of Llanogrande are all close at hand.
